When Alexa Moved In, 2018
48 x 60 x 1.5 in
122 x 152 x 5 cm
Alexa arrived in a small box, one day. My husband installed her, despite my protests. Hers is the name I hear most often, throughout the day. She listens to everything we say, and is always there. I do admit that it’s handy to have someone tell me the time or play whatever music I want, at a moment’s notice. So maybe she’s not so bad. Still, though: she listens to everything, and I’m sharing my home with her.
This piece is currently part of the Voices in My Head exhibition at the Eleanor London Gallery (located at the Côte Saint-Luc Public Library), until August 19, 2018.
